CRUDE BY RAIL FACILITY

SASKATCHEWAN

About the Project

Under a lump sum turnkey contract, EPFC Corp designed, fabricated and constructed a Crude By Rail facility capable of handling 37,500 bpd of undiluted bitumen. The facility utilizes eight truck offloading/metering stations and five rail car loading stations, with provisions to expand to 10 stations for each offloading and loading areas which would increase the fluid handling capacities to 75,000 bpd. The facility was also designed to easily convert and accept incoming undiluted bitumen via pipeline, providing multiple transportation options. EPFC’s modular concepts and streamlined execution, enabled all major equipment and pipe rack modules to be set within eighteen days from gaining access to site as Prime Contractor.
